Project Overview
Wood Pavilion of Love valley ,Zhejiang Jiangshan, China
The Parent-Child Wooden Fun Pavilion is a captivating architectural project designed as a giant toy, blending fun and functionality. Its unique facade serves as an interactive playground, featuring climbing walls and various play surfaces that invite visitors to engage physically with the building. Every hour, three delightful wooden characters, known as the "Wooden Fun Trio," emerge from small toy houses on the facade, greeting park visitors in a whimsical, Disney-like manner. This dynamic feature adds an element of surprise and joy, making the building itself an entertaining spectacle.
One of the most exciting features of the pavilion is the indoor forest exhibition hall on the upper levels. This space is designed to educate and enchant, with a slide that connects directly to the rooftop terrace of a classroom below. This playful element fosters a sense of adventure and seamlessly integrates learning with fun, making the educational experience more engaging for children.
The exterior of the pavilion is rich with playful expressions, allowing visitors to witness others climbing, sliding, and interacting with the facade. This interaction transforms the building into a lively stage where people become part of the performance, adding to the overall vibrancy of the environment. The Sky Theater at the top of the pavilion creates a serene dialogue with the surrounding natural elements. The pavilion’s design is reminiscent of Hayao Miyazaki’s "Howl's Moving Castle," exuding a sense of surrealism and boundless imagination. This architectural marvel promises to be a magical and unforgettable destination for families, sparking wonder and creativity in both children and adults.
